About Us
Rapidia is the only metal 3D printing equipment manufacturer in Canada, with distribution across North America, Europe and Japan.
Our Vision
… is to make Industrial Additive Manufacturing accessible to anyone, anywhere. Rapidia strives to change the way people make metal parts by empowering designers, makers, researchers and manufacturers to take part production into their own hands.
Our Passion
… for making and creative problem-solving drives our commitment to building flexible, open platform tools. We believe these are the tools the world needs to transition to an all-digital metal fabrication workflow.
Make it here.
Make it now.
Our Journey
Rapidia incorporated in Vancouver, Canada, in 2016. What started with the development of ceramic shells for shell casting soon led to the innovation of a water-based metal feedstock for extrusion, and the development of a sinter-based additive manufacturing process.
With a lean approach to test, learn and improve, the idea of a safe and simple metal 3D printing process was born and eventually launched into the US market in 2019. Followed by a partnership with ExOne in 2021, which was acquired by Desktop Metal shortly after, Rapidia independently relaunched its brand with next-gen machines in 2022.
More recently, Rapidia has validated its 10L sintering furnace for a growing number of bound-metal AM processes. Supplying furnaces to complement other 3D printing technologies has become an important part of our business.
Our company is made up of enthusiastic engineers, makers and creative thinkers, striving to enable Advanced Manufacturing through high performance, affordable hardware.
